Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Services, Psychology or related field preferred.
  • Experience speaking to large groups and presenting information publicly.
  • Ability to interact positively with children, teens, adults and elders.
  • English proficiency; bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred.
  • Attend 40-hour Crisis Intervention Training for Sexual Assault (ICASA).
  • Attend ICASA Confidentiality Counts training.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Internet).
  • Professionalism, confidentiality and independent work capability.
  • Experience developing and conducting trainings.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Available to start as soon as possible.

Job description

This position will work with vastly diverse populations to provide prevention/education programs to schools, businesses and other local agencies. This position will teach outlined curricula, adapt and/or design the requested presentations, and explore new audiences. Educators also provide direct sexual assault support services as needed. In addition, this position will work with different institutions in the community to assist in coalition building.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Services, Psychology or other related field preferred.
  • Experience speaking in large groups and effectively presenting information to the public required.
  • Must be able to interact positively and equally with children, teens, adults, elders and persons with disabilities.
  • Proficiency in English required. Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred.
  • Attend and complete 40-hour Crisis Intervention Training for Sexual Assault as required by ICASA.
  • Attend Confidentiality Counts training required by ICASA
  • Must have basic knowledge of and the ability to use Microsoft Office, including Power Point, Word and the internet.
  • Maintain high level of professionalism, communication and confidentiality in interactions with survivors, students, volunteers and the public.
  • Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and conducting training requested.
  • Reliable form of personal transportation required.
  • Must be available to start as soon as possible.
