Job summary

The Center for Youth Services, Inc. is seeking a Prevention Education Specialist to develop and deliver research-based curricula through youth and adult sessions and trainings. You will support the Center's prevention services and assist with outreach across the full range of collaboration services.

The role requires delivering sessions during the school day, coordinating with teachers, and maintaining accurate records. A valid driver's license and relevant education/experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or Human Service or related field AND 1-3 years' related experience OR equivalent combination / Master's Degree preferred
• CPP/ ICPS/ CASAC, advanced training or certifications preferred
• Experience in Rochester City School District preferred
• A valid drivers license

Responsibilities

• Complete accurate and timely records, service, evaluations and Monthly reports
• Design services based on curriculum and Teacher Needs Assessments

Overview

A Prevention Education Specialist is responsible for developing and/or delivering research-based curriculum with fidelity through youth and adult planned sessions and trainings. Prevention Education Specialists are promote the Center's prevention services. This position also provides outreach via information dissemination on the full array of collaboration services provided by The Center for Youth. The PE Specialist may be called upon to fulfill the duties of the Social Learning Specialist in his/her absence and therefore may be cross-trained in that position.

Schedule

Full time. 37.5 Hours per week. Work hours overlap to the school day. Special events or projects may take place during the early evenings occasionally.

Pay Rate
