We are seeking a motivated Preventative Maintenance Technician eager to learn and grow. This role offers exciting opportunities to work in a dynamic, fast-paced industry.

Job Responsibilities

The Preventative Maintenance Technician should have a basic understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to perform scheduled maintenance on CNC production equipment using hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment. Responsibilities include:

  • Travel daily from home to customer facilities, with occasional overnight stays for remote locations or training.
  • Demonstrate teamwork and a willingness to assist others.
  • Utilize machine manuals, technical documents, and vendor resources for troubleshooting and parts research.
  • Act as a communication link between the customer and the Morris Service Group.
  • Follow safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and conduct training for customer employees.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of machine tools and industry standards.
  • Build customer relationships and promote brand loyalty.
  • Travel safely, continuously learn new technologies and soft skills.
Job Requirements
  • Proficient in English communication, both verbal and written, with good customer relation skills.
  • Effective in-person and phone communication with customers and colleagues.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Adaptability to change and ability to handle delays or work-related issues.
  • Basic digital skills, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Willingness to develop electro-mechanical skills (motors, drives, transformers).
  • Knowledge of machine tool operations, maintenance, or a broad shop background is a plus.
  • Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Manufacturing or CNC machine repair experience is advantageous.
  • Experience with multi-control systems and troubleshooting is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent technical, communication, and presentation skills.
Additional Functions
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical and Mental Requirements

The physical demands include mobility, manual dexterity, visual acuity, and the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs with assistance. Employees must maintain composure in stressful situations and focus on multiple tasks.
