Job summary

Arthrex is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Technician I for the Ave Maria, FL site on the 3rd shift (10:00 pm – 6:30 am, Mon–Fri). The role focuses on cleaning CNC chip beds, processing oil through the chip spinner, and maintaining oil levels and inventory.

You will also assist on the production floor and in additional maintenance tasks as needed. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and at least 6 months of related maintenance experience, with ability to operate cleaning equipment and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of directly related training and/or experience in maintenance or a related field.
• Ability to use cleaning equipment and supplies, and to operate vacuums and other related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Clean chip beds and vacuum reservoirs in CNC machines.
• Process chips to extract oil using chip spinner.
• Return recovered oil to machines.
• Dispose of metal chips into recycle containers.
• Maintain proper oil levels in machines.
• Keep track of oil inventory.
• Assist production with basic tasks on the shop floor.
• Support other facility maintenance duties as needed.

Preventative Maintenance Technician I – 3rd Shift – Ave Maria, FL

Shift: 10:00 pm – 6:30 am, Monday – Friday

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Cleaning out the chip beds and vacuuming the reservoirs in the CNC machines with filtration vacuum.
• Processing the chips through the chip spinner to extract the oil.
• Returning recovered oil back to the machines.
• Disposing of metal chips into recycle containers.
• Ensuring that the machines have proper oil levels maintained.
• Keeping track of oil inventory.
• Performing basic operations when needed to help with production, such as crimping, shearing, bending, gun drilling, or other needs on the production floor.
• Assisting as needed in other facility maintenance duties.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of directly related training and/or experience in maintenance or a related field.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

Ability to use cleaning equipment and supplies, and to operate vacuums and other related equipment.

Machine, Tools, and Equipment Skills

Cleaning machine operation.

Language and Communication Skills

Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management, and to write and record data and information as required by procedures.

Physical Demands

Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demands are in excess of those for Medium Work.

Work Environment

The work environment includes occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. Noise levels are usually moderate.
