Texas Woman's University is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Technician to perform essential maintenance on HVAC systems across campus. Key responsibilities include conducting routine maintenance, inspections, and adjustments to ensure system performance and safety.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for an associate degree or technical certification in HVAC. The role requires at least 2-4 years of relevant experience in maintenance, strong troubleshooting skills, and familiarity with CMMS. A valid Texas driver's license is also required.
Preventive Maintenance Technician performs preventive maintenance, repair, inspection, and diagnostic services on a variety of systems throughout the campus. This role supports a safe and comfortable educational environment by maximizing system performance, reducing downtime, and extending equipment life. The technician works collaboratively with Facilities Management staff to support institutional goals and comply with regulatory and safety standards.
Reports to: Supervisor, HVAC Operations
Supervises: No supervisory responsibilities
High school diploma or GED; Associate degree or technical certification from an accredited institution preferred.
Knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, electrical and refrigeration components.
Must have a valid Texas driver's license and a safe driving record as required by the university for Driver's Authorization.
Regular and reliable attendance at the University during scheduled days and work hours is an essential function of this position.
