Job summary

Rehrig Pacific is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Indiana to keep forklifts, conveyors, and other equipment running smoothly. You will track work orders, perform repairs, and manage parts while maintaining a clean, organized plant floor.

Role emphasizes safety, Lean initiatives, and teamwork to support production goals. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience, welding/metal fabrication skills, and familiarity with preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Welding and metal fabrication expertise.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and safety practices.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Own the Upkeep system: Track work orders, schedule repairs, and manage parts.
• Inspect, repair, and install equipment including forklifts and conveyors.
• Keep the facility clean, organized, and production-ready.
• Follow OSHA standards and company protocols to ensure safety.
• Collaborate on LEAN improvements and special projects with leadership.
• Operate forklifts safely and be willing to get trained/certified.

What Youll Be Doing

• Own the Upkeep system: Track work orders, schedule repairs, and manage parts like a pro.
• Keep our equipment alive and kicking: From forklifts to conveyors, youll be the go-to expert for inspections, repairs, and installations.
• Champion facility upkeep: Ensure our plant stays clean, organized, and production-ready.
• Lead with safety: Follow OSHA standards and company protocols to keep everyone safe.
• Collaborate and innovate: Work with leadership on LEAN improvements and special projects.
• Operate forklifts: Safely and efficiently (well train and certify you!).

What You Bring to the Table

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong mechanical skillsforklifts, conveyors, dock doors, and more.
• Welding and metal fabrication expertise.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and safety practices.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Great communication skills and a team-first attitude.
• Knowledge of LEAN and 5S practices is a plus.
• Tech‑savvy with MS Word, Excel, and web-based systems.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% when needed.
