Cortez Heating & Air in Bradenton, FL is seeking a Commercial HVAC Sales Consultant to drive revenue by consulting with commercial customers, assessing needs, and closing sales. You will work with operations to ensure accurate recommendations, smooth installations, and a positive customer experience.

Qualified candidates bring 4+ years in sales with commercial clients and HVAC/R familiarity. A valid license and willingness to travel to sites are preferred.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Sales experience with Commercial Clients.
• HVAC/R industry experience strongly preferred.
• Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical customers.

Overview

The Commercial HVAC Sales Consultant is responsible for driving revenue by consulting with commercial customers to assess needs, recommend solutions, and close sales. This role partners closely with operations to ensure accurate system recommendations, smooth installations, and a positive customer experience. Success requires a balance of technical knowledge and relationship‑based selling, along with accountability for sales targets, pipeline management, and consistent performance in a fast‑paced field environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with commercial and industrial customers
• Identify new sales opportunities by targeting new customers
• Conduct site visits to assess HVAC system needs
• Recommend solutions based on customer operations, system condition, efficiency, and budget
• Clearly explain technical concepts, pricing, and scope of work
• Prepare and present proposals, estimates, and service agreements
• Support contract negotiations and close sales in alignment with company standards
• Partner with service, installation, and project management teams to ensure accurate handoff
• Assist with job scoping, scheduling, and customer communication
• Support issue resolution to maintain customer satisfaction
• Manage sales pipeline and activity through CRM/ATS systems
• Meet or exceed sales targets and performance goals
• Maintain accurate documentation of customer interactions and opportunities

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Sales experience with Commercial Clients
• HVAC/R industry experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of commercial and industrial HVAC/R systems
• Proven experience in consultative or solutions‑based sales
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non‑technical customers
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer sites
• Experience with commercial DX systems, air cooled chillers, boilers, or industrial systems
• Experience selling service agreements and maintenance contracts

Base Salary Range: $65,000 — $85,000 USD
