Job summary

MNP is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Oiler to support shop-floor operations in Utica, Michigan. The role involves material delivery, receiving, staging, and shipping, with forklifts used to move steel coils and parts between workstations.

The PM Oiler will ensure smooth production flow and safe, efficient handling of inventory on a 5:30 AM–3:30 PM schedule, five days with Saturdays as needed. Ideal candidates bring at least 1 year of hi-lo forklift experience, strength to stand and lift

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience operating a hi-lo forklift with certification.
• Preferred: experience in fastener or metal manufacturing.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Basic proficiency with computers and inventory tracking systems.
• Solid math and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to work independently and plan material movement.
• Physically able to stand, bend, lift, push/pull throughout the workday.

Responsibilities

• Support material handling throughout all production stages, including receiving, staging, and shipping.
• Operate forklifts (hi-lo) to move steel coils and manufactured parts between workstations.
• Stage and manage tubs for manufacturing, ensuring continuous production flow.
• Assist with expedited or high-priority orders as needed.
• Scan inventory tags and enter data into computer systems.
• Maintain clean and organized workspaces; handle material spills appropriately.
• Identify and report missing documentation or incomplete paperwork.
• Follow safety protocols and company procedures.
• Perform additional duties and preventive maintenance tasks as assigned.
