Preventative Maintenance Mechanic

Performs preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery.

Essential Functions
  1. Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery.
  2. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems using schematics and technical drawings.
  3. Repair equipment, fixtures, systems, conveyors, and other equipment at the facility as required.
  4. Lubricate, diagnose, and operate equipment.
  5. Work independently and with other team members to complete repairs timely and safely.
  6. Complete required daily paperwork, document parts and material usage.
  7. Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  8. May perform as a backup to production line worker.
  9. Understand and follow plant safety rules, including safe lifting practices and safe machine operation. Use Personal Protective Equipment where required.
  10. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.

Qualifications

Experience may include a combination of work experience and education.

  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • 2 Years - Experience in the field or similar manufacturing environment
    • 2 Years - Experience in a similar position
  • Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs throughout shift.
  • Basic knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), including experience with HMIs, work orders, etc.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.
  • Team members need to provide their own tools, except in California locations where tools will be provided.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • 4 Years - Experience in the field or similar manufacturing environment
    • 4 Years - Experience working in a similar position
    • 2 Years - Experience managing people/projects
Education
  • Minimum Required:
    • High School Diploma
  • Preferred:
    • Associate's Degree in Vocational Training in Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulics, or Pneumatics
    • Technical School Certification in related field
