Hyatt Regency Austin on Lady Bird Lake is seeking a General Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team. This entry-level role focuses on preventative and routine maintenance for guest rooms and public spaces, ensuring safety and comfort for guests.

You will interact with guests and colleagues, troubleshoot issues across electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and other systems, and support a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualificações

• 1-2 years of maintenance experience required.
• Previous general hotel maintenance is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to communicate professionally with guests and team.

The Preventative Maintenance Engineer will be responsible primarily for overall care and maintenance in guest rooms and other guest-facing areas of the hotel. This role directly impacts the guest experience and can involve interaction with guests and/or internal colleagues and teams; strong interpersonal skills and comfort engaging with others are essential. While this is an entry level position, previous maintenance experience and/or hotel experience is preferred.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous General hotel maintenance experience is a plus
• Experience involving painting and tile/wall repair strongly preferred.
• 1-2 years of maintenance experience required
• Strong troubleshooting skills (electricity, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, etc.)
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with guests and team
• Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift, pull, and push a moderate amount of weight.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, occasional overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
