Job summary

alliant, a national premier consulting firm, seeks a PW&A Consultant to plan and execute components of tax incentive studies, especially under IRA requirements. You will collaborate with ITC/PTC teams, clients, and attorneys to ensure compliance and deliver high-quality results across renewable energy projects.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, 1+ years in DBA/DBRA/IRA contexts, and travel up to 30% within the U.S. Houston residency is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1+ years of professional experience with Davis-Bacon Act (DBA), Related Acts (DBRA), or IRA within construction or government.
• Experience with certified payroll, Form WH-347, apprenticeship programs, wage determinations.
• In-depth knowledge of the Inflation Reduction Act.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess compliance risks and develop effective solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex legal concepts to non-legal personnel.
• Travel 20-30% within the United States.
• Candidate must reside or relocate to Houston, TX.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with ITC/PTC teams and clients to identify, analyze, and quantify payroll and apprenticeship documentation.
• Conduct comprehensive analysis ensuring IRS compliance and accuracy.
• Create and maintain procedures aligning with IRS and IRA requirements.
• Collaborate with attorneys to develop tax compliance defense strategies for IRS.
• Manage multiple projects across clients in renewable energy space.
• Develop SME expertise on tax incentive issues.
• Interact with clients at executive level as prevailing wage and apprenticeship compliance consultant.
