Target Pay Range/Rate: $21.106 - $26.382 per hour OR $43,900 - $540,875 annually
The Second Judicial District Court is recruiting for a full-time, TERM, Pretrial Services Officer 1 #10107980-23200 for the Judicial Supervision and Diversion Program in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The working days/hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (subject to change or as assigned).
Acting under general supervision, assist with criminal background investigations on persons arrested and charged with criminal offenses prior to adjudication. As part of the Pretrial Services Program within the Judicial Supervision & Diversion Programs (JSDP) Division, perform responsibilities as part of a high-functioning, fast-paced team in one or more operational units. Interact with, monitor, support, and supervise a caseload of individuals with felony criminal charges. Ensure appropriate supervision practices to maximize court appearance and public safety. Prepare for and represent the Pretrial Services Program in criminal court hearings. Produce compliance reports, communicate with court and program participants, and connect willing participants to community services. Perform observed, same-gender urinalysis testing and manage samples. Must possess or obtain proficiency with database and case management systems. Stay informed on best practices in pretrial justice and contribute to program improvements. Finalists may be subject to criminal background checks.
Work is performed in office or court settings. A valid driver’s license and travel may be required. Work schedule may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime. Regular interaction with co-workers, clients, the public, judges, and justices is expected.
