Job summary

The Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) in Kentucky is seeking a Pretrial Services Specialist for shift work in Jefferson County. The role reviews arrested individuals to determine eligibility for pretrial release, conducts interviews, background checks, and makes release recommendations, while monitoring cases through the court process.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree required.
• At least two years’ experience working with or within criminal justice, judicial and/or legal systems.
• Must be able to pass FBI clearance and obtain NCIC certification within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Review arrested individuals to determine eligibility for pretrial release.
• Conduct interviews and background checks; make release recommendations or consult with a judge.
• Track cases through the court process and monitor individuals placed under supervision.
• Submit detailed written reports to the appropriate entities and maintain state statistics.
