Job summary

Loudoun County Government's Department of Community Corrections seeks a Pretrial/Probation Officer to supervise individuals referred from Loudoun County Courts. Role includes intakes, supervision, risk assessments, drug testing, and working with the Electronic Monitoring Team.

Required is a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology, or related field and at least two years of related experience, with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology, or related field.
• Minimum of two years of work-related experience within the criminal justice or counseling field.
• Valid operator’s license required.
• Spanish proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pretrial defendants and probationers referred by the Courts.
• Conduct pretrial and probation intakes and perform background checks and risk assessments.
• Administer drug tests and collaborate with the Electronic Monitoring Team.
• Attend court hearings and prepare reports for submission to the Court.
