Job summary

Latitude Corp in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Pretreatment Operator to join our 100% employee-owned team. The role centers on maintaining the pretreatment system, monitoring tanks, and ensuring safety and quality in a climate-controlled shop.

You will follow startup/shutdown procedures, perform titration records, and support continuous operations 40 hours per week. Manufacturing experience is preferred; you value strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail, with overtime possible.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing shop experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs with assistance.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Basic understanding of chemistry and titration concepts.

Responsibilities

• Follow the startup/shutdown pre-treatment line procedure.
• Maintain the pretreatment system for maximum performance and safety.
• Keep accurate titration records and monitor the system.
• Monitor and maintain pre-treatment tank levels; prevent overflow.
• Monitor tank cleanliness and report concerns to management.
• Maintain nozzles for even coatings; adjust as instructed.
• Mix and maintain stripping solution for zinc weight checking.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by working with management.
• Clean spills immediately and prevent drainage.
• Understand Wastewater and EPA requirements.
• Maintain a safe working environment; follow safety procedures.
• Communicate clearly with other departments.
• Adhere to the quality system; punctuality and possible overtime.
• Perform lock-out/tag-out when appropriate.
• Keep work area neat and organized.
• Help with other ad hoc duties as assigned.

• Physical - capable of lifting 40 lbs. safely, with assistance if necessary. Capable of standing and bending over for long periods of time while performing job functions, with reasonable accommodations if necessary.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow the Startup / Shut Down Pre-treatment line procedure
• Maintain the pretreatment system for maximum performance and safety.
• Keep accurate titration records and monitor system as required by management.
• Monitor and maintain pre-treatment tank levels throughout the day and ensure that no tanks overflow.
• Monitor tank cleanliness throughout the day and report any concerns to management
• Maintain nozzles to assure even coatings throughout the line
• Make appropriate additions into the tank as instructed by management.
• Mix and maintain stripping solution for zinc weight checking.
• Ensure internal and external customer satisfaction by working management.
• Assure all spills are cleaned up immediately and that nothing goes to drain.
• Have a basic understanding of Wastewater and EPA requirements.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
• Work safely and ensure hazardous conditions are eliminated. Follow company safety procedures.
• Communicate accurately and effectively to other individuals in the department as well as other departments.
• Understand and adhere to the quality system
• Arrive to work in a punctual manner and be willing to work overtime when needed.
• Perform lock-out/tag-out procedure when appropriate.
• Maintain neat and clean work area.
• Other ad hoc duties as assigned.
