Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessment including history, allergies and meds.
• Identify risk factors that may affect surgery.
• Ensure necessary pre-operative tests and coordinate with anesthesia.
• Coordinate with surgical team and departments to complete prep.
• Document nursing interventions and communicate with care team in EMR.
• Educate patients on pre-operative prep, fasting, medications and hygiene.
