The Presumptive Eligibility Program Coordinator is responsible for planning, managing, and coordinates the onboarding of new PE entities and ensures they are effectively trained to meet program requirements. The coordinator will also provide ongoing support, guidance, and instructions to entities, ensuring adherence to program standards. Additionally, this position will collaborate with multiple systems, including KEES, KMMS, the Clearinghouse, and other partners, to ensure seamless program operations. This position involves a significant amount of travel throughout the state of Kansas.

Key Responsibilities:

Onboarding of New PE Entities-

Plan and manage the onboarding process for new entities joining the PE program

Ensure that new entities meet eligibility requirements and complete necessary documentation

Provide support to entities during the setup process, ensuring a smooth transition into the PE program

Training Coordination-

Develop and coordinate comprehensive training for new PE entities on program policies, procedures, and system use (KEES, KMMS, Clearinghouse)

Design training materials (manuals, presentations, etc.) and conduct live training session

Ongoing Guidance and Support-

Provide ongoing support to PE entities, ensuring they have the resources and information needed to make accurate and timely eligibility determinations

Address any questions or concerns from entities, offering troubleshooting and assistance as needed

Keep entities informed of any updates or changes to program policies, procedures, or systems

Collaboration with Key Systems and Stakeholders-

Act as the liaison between PE entities and key systems such as KEES, KMMS, and the Clearinghouse

Collaborate with these systems to resolve issues, ensure data accuracy, and facilitate efficient eligibility determinations

Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

Auditing -

Review and audit PE eligibility cases to ensure all determinations are made in compliance with established guidelines, rules, and regulations

Conduct thorough case reviews to verify the accuracy of eligibility determinations, supporting documentation, and other necessary records

Identify errors or discrepancies in case documentation and eligibility determinations, providing feedback to the respective entities

Work with PE entities to resolve any audit findings, ensuring corrective actions are taken promptly

Outreach to Potential PE Entities

Identify and target potential organizations, healthcare providers, community agencies, and other entities that would benefit from joining the PE Program

Develop and implement outreach strategies, including phone calls, emails, informational webinars, and community events, to engage prospective partners

Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in targeted regions or industries

Promote the benefits of the PE Program to potential entities and explain the eligibility requirements and enrollment process

Recruitment of New Entities-

Actively recruit new entities to participate in the PE Program by guiding them through the onboarding process

Assist potential entities with understanding program requirements and the necessary documentation to join

Track recruitment efforts and follow up with leads to ensure timely enrollment and smooth transitions into the program

Provide potential entities with clear, detailed information on how the PE program works, its benefits, and how it fits within their organizational structure

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • High School, GED
  • Licensing & Certification:
    • Valid Driver's License - Incumbent is required to have and maintain a valid driver's license when operating a state vehicle, a private vehicle, or a rental vehicle for the benefit of the State
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • One year of experience in planning implementing and monitoring activities relevant to the agency's programs. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.

    • Ability to adapt communication to the audience
