General Summary & Scope

The Prestige Beauty Advisor (PBA) is responsible for maximizing sales in the prestige category (color cosmetics, skincare, and fragrance) by engaging guests to determine their needs and assisting in the selection and purchase of prestige merchandise, while following all company policies and procedures. Responsibilities include maintaining store standards, supporting the Sales Manager through performance, people, and process focus, and demonstrating a passion for the beauty industry, exceptional guest service, and product knowledge.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Performance
  • Contributing to meeting or exceeding sales goals related to retail, service, guest loyalty, and omni-channel sales, especially in the prestige category.
  • Providing exceptional guest service, including greeting, engaging, personalizing service, recommending products, and informing guests of promotions.
  • Handling sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously.
  • Performing makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and enhance guest experience.
  • Supporting in-store events and appointments to deliver an outstanding guest experience.
  • Staying informed on industry trends, products, and ingredients to better serve guests.
  • Maintaining regular attendance.
People
  • Supporting an inclusive environment for teammates and guests.
  • Collaborating with store team to grow the business.
  • Participating in ongoing training and product education to enhance skills and sales performance.
Process
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Adhering to dress code.
  • Maintaining store standards, replenishing and facing merchandise, and ensuring tester hygiene.
  • Participating in merchandise resets, inventory, and shipment processing.
  • Promoting the guest loyalty program and protecting company assets.
  • Executing other operational tasks as directed.
Job Qualifications
Education
  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Cosmetology, esthetician, or demonstrator’s license as required by state law.
Experience
  • 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent education and experience preferred.
Skills
  • Passion for prestige products, guest service, and selling.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Effective communication skills.
Position Requirements
  • Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Attendance at meetings and conferences, including overnight stays.
Working Conditions
  • Frequent mobility, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 10 lbs.
  • Continuous object manipulation during shift.

The pay range for this position is $15.50 - $20.00/hour, based on relevant factors. Full-time employees are eligible for benefits including paid time off, health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance. Part-time benefits vary.
