General Summary & Scope

The Prestige Beauty Advisor (PBA) is responsible for maximizing sales in the prestige category (color cosmetics, skincare, and fragrance) by engaging guests to determine their individual needs and assisting them in selecting and purchasing prestige merchandise, while following all company policies and procedures. Responsibilities include maintaining store standards, supporting the Sales Manager through performance, people, and process, and demonstrating a passion for the beauty industry, exceptional guest service, and product knowledge.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Performance
  • Contribute to meeting or exceeding store goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, retail shrink, and omni-channel sales, focusing on the prestige category and iconic brands.
  • Ensure each guest receives exceptional service by greeting, engaging, personalizing service, recommending products, and informing about promotions and events.
  • Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously.
  • Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and enhance guest experience.
  • Book appointments and support in-store events to deliver an outstanding guest experience while achieving sales goals.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, products, and services, and communicate their benefits to guests.
  • Maintain prompt and regular attendance.
People
  • Support an inclusive environment for teammates and guests.
  • Collaborate with managers and colleagues to grow the business.
  • Participate in ongoing training to develop product knowledge and sales skills.
Process
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Adhere to the dress code.
  • Maintain work area, replenish stock, and ensure testers are hygienic and available.
  • Participate in merchandise resets, inventory, and shipment processing.
  • Promote the guest loyalty program and protect company assets.
  • Perform other operational tasks as assigned.
Job Qualifications
Education
  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Cosmetology, esthetician, or demonstrator’s license required where applicable.
Experience
  • 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent education and experience preferred.
Skills
  • Passion and competency for prestige products, guest service, and selling.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
Special Position Requirements
  • Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Attendance at meetings and conferences, including overnight stays.
Working Conditions
  • Frequent mobility and standing during shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
