Position Summary

The Prestige Beauty Advisor (PBA) maximizes sales in the prestige category (color cosmetics, skincare, fragrance) by engaging guests, assessing their needs, and assisting in the selection and purchase of prestige products, while adhering to all company policies and standards. This role supports the Sales Manager through performance, people, and process focus, requiring a passion for beauty, excellent guest service, and product knowledge communication skills.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Performance
  • Meet or exceed store goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, and omni-channel sales, focusing on prestige and iconic brands.
  • Provide exceptional guest service by greeting, engaging, personalizing service, recommending products, and informing guests of promotions and events.
  • Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously.
  • Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and enhance guest experience.
  • Support in booking appointments and executing in-store events to deliver outstanding guest experiences and meet sales goals.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, products, and ingredients to better serve guests.
  • Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
People
  • Contribute to an inclusive environment supporting teammates and guests.
  • Collaborate with managers and colleagues to grow the business.
  • Participate in ongoing training for professional development and sales performance.
Process
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Adhere to dress code.
  • Maintain replenished, signed, and faced work areas; ensure testers are available and hygienic.
  • Keep store standards high, including cleanliness and organization.
  • Assist with merchandise resets, planograms, displays, inventory, and shipment processing.
  • Promote guest loyalty programs and protect company assets.
  • Perform other operational tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Cosmetology, esthetician, or demonstrator’s license as required by law.
Experience
  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent education and experience preferred.
Skills
  • Passion and competency in prestige products and guest service.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
Position Requirements
  • Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Attend meetings and conferences, including overnight stays.
Working Conditions
  • Mobility throughout the store during shifts.
  • Frequent standing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, and twisting.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 10 lbs.
  • Continuous object manipulation.
