General Summary & Scope

The Prestige Beauty Advisor (PBA) is responsible for maximizing sales in the prestige category (color cosmetics, skincare, and fragrance) by engaging guests to determine their needs and assisting in the selection and purchase of prestige merchandise, while following all company policies and procedures. Responsibilities include maintaining store standards, supporting the Sales Manager through performance, people, and process focus, and demonstrating a passion for the beauty industry and exceptional guest service.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Performance
  • Contribute to meeting or exceeding store goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, retail shrink, and omni-channel sales, focusing on the prestige category and iconic brands.
  • Provide exceptional service by greeting and engaging guests, personalizing service, recommending products, and informing about promotions and events.
  • Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously.
  • Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and enhance guest experience.
  • Support the execution of services and in-store events.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests.
  • Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
People
  • Support an inclusive environment for teammates and guests.
  • Collaborate with managers and peers to grow the business.
  • Participate in ongoing training to develop professionally and improve sales performance.
Process
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Adhere to dress code.
  • Maintain store standards, replenish and face prestige and iconic brand work areas, and ensure testers are available and hygienic.
  • Participate in merchandise resets, planograms, displays, inventory procedures, and shipment processing.
  • Promote the guest loyalty program and protect company assets following loss prevention practices.
  • Perform other operational tasks as directed.
Job Qualifications
Education
  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Cosmetology, esthetician, or demonstrator’s license required where mandated by law.
Experience
  • 1 year relevant experience or equivalent education and experience preferred.
Skills
  • Passion for prestige products, guest service, and selling.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills.
Special Position Requirements
  • Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Attend meetings and conferences, including overnight stays.
Working Conditions
  • Frequent mobility, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 10 lbs.
  • Continuous object manipulation during shift.
