General Summary & Scope

The Prestige Beauty Advisor (PBA) is responsible for maximizing sales in the prestige category (color cosmetics, skincare, and fragrance) by engaging guests to determine their needs and assisting in the selection and purchase of prestige merchandise, following all company policies and procedures. This role supports the Sales Manager through performance, people, and process focus, requiring a passion for beauty, exceptional guest service, and product knowledge communication skills.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Performance

• Meeting or exceeding retail and service sales, guest loyalty, and other store goals, especially in the prestige category.
• Providing exceptional guest service, including greeting, engaging, personalizing service, and informing guests of promotions and events.
• Handling sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously.
• Performing makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales.
• Supporting in-store events and appointments to enhance guest experience and sales.
• Staying informed on industry trends and product benefits to better serve guests.
• Maintaining regular attendance.

• Fostering an inclusive environment supporting teammates and guests.
• Collaborating with store team to grow the business.
• Participating in ongoing training for professional development.

Process

• Ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
• Adhering to dress code.

Job Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma preferred.
• Cosmetology, esthetician, or demonstrator’s license where required by law.

Experience

• 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience preferred.

Skills

• Passion for prestige products, guest service, and sales.
• Strong relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Effective communication skills.

Special Position Requirements

• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Attendance at meetings and conferences, including overnight stays.

Working Conditions

• Frequent movement and standing in the store.
• Lifting up to 10 lbs. regularly.
• Handling objects and equipment during shift.
