Job summary

Con Edison is seeking a senior Manager to lead the Mechanical group within Pressure Control, directing day-to-day operations while ensuring regulatory compliance and coordinating multiple projects and training initiatives.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, budget and personnel management, and collaboration with union staff and external partners. Operator qualification within 24 months and involvement in capital budgeting are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant field experience, or supervisory and managerial experience.
• Working knowledge of gas transmission and distribution system, regulator stations, ROVs, gate stations, and general system operation.
• Working knowledge of State and Federal regulations concerning pressure regulation equipment/designs.
• Must become operator qualified within 24 months upon hiring.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of management and union employees in the day-to-day operation of the Pressure Control Department.
• Oversee the Pressure Control work out locations and ensures critical storeroom inventories are maintained and controlled.
• Oversee all administrative functions of the Pressure Control Department including record retention and archiving.
• Oversee the administration of the Pressure Control procurement process and assists with establishing contracts for Pressure Control O/M activities.
