Job summary

Evapco in Illinois seeks a skilled welder/fabricator to assist in coil fabrication. You will maintain a safe work area, perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance PMs, and complete production and quality documentation to meet engineering requirements and production expectations.

The role requires reading engineering prints, using common hand tools, maintaining welder certifications, and mentoring less experienced welders while striving for leak rate targets and higher efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Read a tape measure to 1/16 in. accuracy.
• Basic math skills for shop calculations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to read and understand engineering prints.
• Must achieve Evaporator Welder Level 2 and Level 3 training with coil proficiency and leak/efficiency targets.
• Mentor less experienced welders and maintain welder certifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly PMs as required.
• Complete production and quality documentation.
• Maintain leak rate within skill level and weld appearance.
• Maintain production rate within skill level.
• Ensure materials, parts and workmanship meet engineering requirements and production expectations.
