Phoenix Color Job Title: Cutter

Pay: $18.00 - 19.50/hr (+$1.00/hr Night Shift Differential)

Additional Incentives:

• Up to $100 Safety Shoe Reimbursement after one year of employment.

Hours: 7:00am - 7:00pm

Schedule: Thursday - Saturday and every other Wednesday

To that end, in addition to meeting the qualification requirements for this position, preference will be given to candidates who agree to participate in cross-training which includes achieving qualified status within the position and assuming responsibility as a back-up to lateral and progressive roles, as needed.

As our Cutter, you will:

1. Maintain flow of paper in a safe and efficient manner while operating box trucks, forklifts, and pallet jacks.
2. Maintain a neat and organized work environment.
3. Perform checks on machine and truck and complete basic maintenance.
4. Regularly check paper for product quality.
5. Adhere to and promote all safety policies and procedures.
6. Complete all other duties as assigned.
7. Responsible for driving box truck to and from converting building; maintaining inventory for the cutting department; assisting the cutters as needed; and ensuring material is delivered to the pressroom in a timely manner while following all safety and quality control procedures.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 30-60lbs, stand for 12 hours, and push/pull up to 1100lbs with use of manual pallet jack.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
• May be exposed to controlled, non-toxic, chemical vapors or mists.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience operating stand-up forklifts and electric pallet jacks required.
• 1+ years’ experience driving a manually shifted box truck preferred.
• Must currently have and maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
