Job summary

Phoenix Color, a company of Lakeside Book, is hiring a Pressroom Assistant 2 at our Terre Haute, IN facility. The role covers basic press setup, ink application, and quality checks on the print line, with a 3pm-3am shift and Sunday-Sunday 4 crew schedule.

Compensation starts at $20.50–$21.54/hr with a $1.00/hr night shift differential and potential increases. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k, and PTO after probation.

Qualifications

• Read and understand written instructions.
• High levels of attention to detail.
• Ability to work as a team.
• Mechanical inclination.
• Must be able to read a standard ruler.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Technical training with printing concentration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in basic setup and operation of the press including loading paper, hanging plates.
• Provide proper preparation and operation of the press to include application of ink, plates, blankets and inline solutions.
• Maintain supplies and chemicals needed to run press efficiently and to customers specifications.
• Perform assigned tasks to meet the production and quality standards for press operation.
• Adhere to quality standards and assist the operator on monitoring the quality of work being printed.
• Read and interpret job ticket instructions.
• Perform basic maintenance and housekeeping functions.
• Adhere to and promote all safety policies and procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.
