Job summary

Extension, Inc in Wisconsin is seeking a Press Tech Supervisor to lead stamping operations, develop high-performing teams, and drive improvements in safety, quality, productivity, and cost.

This hands-on leadership role requires strong stamping, tool & die, lean manufacturing, and SMED experience to optimize processes and mentor staff across shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have substantial stamping/manufacturing leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of tool & die principles and lean manufacturing.
• Proven experience with SMED and process improvement.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop team members through coaching, mentoring, and servant leadership.
• Optimize stamping processes and troubleshoot tool, die, and production issues.
• Drive SMED initiatives to reduce die changeover times and improve efficiency.
• Lead continuous improvement projects to reduce waste, inventory, and WIP.
• Develop and oversee preventative maintenance programs for stamping equipment and tooling.
• Monitor production metrics and use data to drive improvements.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, Safety, Maintenance, and Tool Room teams.
• Support employee relations and work with Union Stewards on contract and disciplinary matters.
• Lead projects from planning through implementation.
• Promote a safe, productive, and positive work environment.

• Strong leadership, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience in a medium- to high-volume manufacturing environment preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to support multiple shifts, including weekends as needed.
