Job summary

Forum Communications Printing, part of Forum Communications Company, is seeking a press operator in Minnesota to assist with equipment setup, operate forklift and pallet jacks, and maintain ink, paper, and plates to ensure quality outputs. The role requires strict adherence to OSHA safety policies, reliable attendance, and hands-on maintenance in a printing plant environment.

Description

With locations in North Dakota, South Dakota, and Minnesota, Forum Communications Printing addresses commercial printing and mailing needs with our high-quality print and mail solutions. Services include magazine, catalog, book, and tradeshow printing, brochures, direct mailers, postcards, variable data printing, statements, glossy inserts, annual reports, fulfillment, first class mail pick-up, and print & digital publications. Forum Communications Printing is part of Forum Communications Company, a 5th-generation, family-owned, Upper Midwest media company.

Essential Functions

• Assist with equipment set-up and routine maintenance.
• Operate forklift and pallet jacks.
• Maintain levels of ink, paper, and plates.
• Quality control.
• Responsible for general maintenance and housekeeping of the press.
• Abide by all OSHA regulations and other established company safety policies.
• Maintain prompt and reliable attendance.

• Prolonged periods of walking, standing, lifting, handling and moving items.
• Ability to stoop, bend, push and pull items.
• Requires full use of hands, arms, finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Occasionally required to lift and /or move up to 50 lbs.
• Physically able to operate machinery.
• Frequent exposure to vibration, fumes or airborne particles, and risk of electrical shock.
• Works in a printing plant environment. Work with moving machinery and hazardous materials such as inks and solvents. Exposure to loud noises and moving mechanical parts.

Expected compensation for this role is $18/hr.
