Job summary

Qualifications

• Communications degree or at least 10 years of professional experience in communications.
• Outstanding writing and communication skills.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Experience in labor or social justice movement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops press strategy to amplify union priorities and messages.
• Drafts, proofs and edits messaging for members and media; prepares talking points and op-eds.
• Maintains press lists and coordinates with the Communications Director on media plans.
