Job summary

Smyth-Bedford in Bedford, VA is hiring for a Press/Production Support role that will train on the job. The position offers full-time hours with a day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on a rotating schedule. Compensation is hourly and based on experience.

As a member of the Press Operations team, you will help set up, operate, and maintain the press, prepare documentation, and ensure safety and waste management. Benefits are included in the package.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Attention to detail and mechanical aptitude required.
• Lean Manufacturing knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Efficient support with setup, operation, changeover, and maintenance of the press, focusing on meeting specifications in product quality, safety, and effective management of material and product waste
• Preparing and maintaining appropriate documentation for the pressroom
• Contributing to a team effort, collectively ensuring the press is stocked with all necessary materials and operating properly to enable focus on the art of producing the labels
• Observing company work rules and safety regulations
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area and pressroom

Key Responsibilities for Production Support include:
