Job summary

ArtiFlex Manufacturing, Inc in Wooster, OH is seeking a Press Operator to operate the press machine, pack parts, and inspect for defects. The role may require repairing defective parts and/or operating a forklift, reporting to the Pressroom Supervisor.

You will perform start of shift inspections, insert sheet metal, label parts, complete basic manufacturing documentation, troubleshoot quality and setup issues, and strive to achieve standard run rates while repairing defects.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions with arm, hand, shoulder, back (bend, twist, etc.).
• ArtiFlex Forklift Operator’s license, if required

Responsibilities

• Support and follow the Company Safety Programs
• Support and follow quality & environmental programs
• Operate presses and perform start of shift inspection
• Insert sheet metal into presses
• Placing parts in racks and labeling accordingly
• Complete basic manufacturing documentation
• Troubleshoot quality, press, and set-up problems
• Inspect parts as indicated in the PIP
• Achieve standard run rates
• Repair defects in production parts, e.g., pimples, buckles, lows, bad hems, etc
• Perform all other work as deemed necessary by supervision
