Job summary

Lee Enterprises is seeking a full-time Press Operator in Bryan, TX to operate the production press for our Eagle and regional publications. You will load newsprint, monitor ink densities, perform plate making, and ensure deadlines are met.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to work night and weekend shifts. Previous printing press experience is preferred, and we provide training. The environment is noisy and hearing protection is required.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willing to work night and weekend shifts as needed.
• Previous printing press experience or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Working conditions are noisy with hearing protection required.

Responsibilities

• Load newsprint and assist with pasters.
• Monitor reel stands and set ink densities.
• Perform registration checks and fill ink fountains.
• Set folders and carry out plate making.
• Maintain a safe, clean press area and assist with other duties as assigned.
