Job summary

Altium Packaging is seeking a manufacturing associate in Sparta, Tennessee. The role involves safely operating flexographic machines, ensuring quality, and maintaining a clean, organized work area.

You will enforce PPE usage and help with packaging and labeling tasks for shipment. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years of manufacturing experience, along with basic math and computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1–2 years manufacturing experience preferred.
• Safety awareness and adherence to PPE requirements.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate flexographic machines and tooling.
• Follow PPE protocols at all times (bump caps, hair/beard net, safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, safety shoes).
• Operate machine controls and adjust settings for quality and efficiency.
• Inspect finished products for quality assurance and sort defects.
• Assist co-operators with various tasks as needed.
• Operate tape guns and apply labels for shipment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Safely handle and operate any assigned flexographic machines and tooling
• Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times; bump caps, hair/beard net, safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, and safety shoes
• Operate machine controls, programs and associated equipment to ensure parts and prints produced are done at maximum efficiency and to the highest quality standards
• Make machinery/equipment adjustments as needed (dislodging jams, controlling speed, product size, etc.)
• Inspect finished products for quality assurance
• Assist co-operators as needed with various tasks
• Operate tape guns to seal boxes ready for shipment
• Secure labels on to boxes
• Maintain clean/safe work area
• Sort rejected product to determine quality errors
• Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs
