Job summary

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials and safety requirements.
• Ability to read job specifications and determine press usage and materials.
• Skilled in precise control settings and maintenance of equipment.
• Knowledge of packing pressure for printing pressure.
• Experience using a micrometer to mount and align printing plates.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain a number of press equipment.
• Perform all make-ready tasks such as hanging plates and installing cylinders.
• Make color corrections and press adjustments to meet quality specs.
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press and replace worn parts.
• Perform periodic maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer.
