Job summary

Oliver Inc. is seeking a Press Operator/Feeder to support the press department, assisting the Pressman with setup, operation, and maintenance of press equipment focused on paper handling. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with printing experience who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The position involves second or third shift, working with feed systems, load tags, and quality checks while maintaining safety and efficiency on every job.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a printing or manufacturing environment (preferred).
• Basic knowledge of press operations and paper handling.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with production equipment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic math skills (including fractions and measurements).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to monitor equipment performance.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and handle materials throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Review daily production schedule and prepare materials for upcoming jobs.
• Verify paper stock using load tags and job specifications.
• Unload, stage, and load paper into press feeders.
• Set and adjust paper feed systems, including double sheet detectors and pressure settings.
• Monitor paper flow, feeder performance, and press operation during runs.
• Assist the Pressman with press operation and material handling.
• Maintain ink and water levels during production.
• Clean and maintain press components, including blankets and supplies.
• Retrieve, label, and store printing plates after each run.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance as directed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Position Overview
