Job summary

Champion Personnel seeks a Rubber Injection Machine Operator in Chardon, Ohio. The role involves setting up and running rubber injection molding machines to produce quality components, following work orders and production specs. This is a union, temp-to-hire position with a path to permanent after 300 hours.

The pay rate is $21.47 per hour and shifts run 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Thursday. The ideal candidate will read work orders, monitor cycles, adjust temperatures and pressures,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read work orders and use measuring tools (calipers, gauges).
• Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Prior rubber injection molding or manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate rubber injection molding machines according to work orders and production specifications.
• Load raw rubber materials and monitor injection cycles.
• Adjust machine settings including temperature, pressure, and cycle times.
• Inspect finished parts for defects and proper dimensions.
• Trim excess material (flash) and perform basic finishing tasks.
• Complete production reports and required documentation accurately.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot minor issues and report concerns to supervisors.
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
