Job summary

Dal-Tile Distribution, Inc. is hiring a Press Operator to monitor and adjust press equipment and inspect tile. The role supports a manufacturing team with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and about one year of manufacturing experience. Ability to read SOPs, maintain records, and communicate effectively is essential for success in this onsite role.

Responsibilities

• Operates powered industrial trucks to load/unload finished product.
• Monitors and maintains press equipment operation.
• Inspects tile for quality defects during manufacturing.
• Performs minor equipment adjustments as needed.
• Reports problems to supervisor and follows SOPs.
• Keeps work area safe, clean and organized.
• Performs other duties as required.

Dal-Tile is currently seeking a Press Operator to join our MFG TEAM! As the Press Operator, we need someone to monitor and perform minor adjustments on press equipment and inspect tile.

Primary Objective

• Operates various powered industrial trucks to load and unload finished product in the shipping and receiving process.

• Major Function and Scope

• Monitors efficient operation of press equipment.

• Inspects tile for quality defects in the manufacturing process.

• Performs minor adjustments to equipment as needed.

• Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.

• Follows standard operating procedures.

• Keeps area safe, clean and organized.

• Performs other related duties as required.

Experience and Knowledge Required

High school diploma or equivalent experience.

1-year previous manufacturing/production experience preferred.

Competencies

Good oral and written communications skills. Good record keeping skills. Good listening skills. Accurate measurement capability. Ability to understand and speak basic English.
