Job summary

Hendrick Manufacturing is seeking a Press Operator to produce parts per shop orders and to set up CNC machines and presses with minimal supervision. The role requires reading blueprints, measuring with calipers and micrometers, and performing routine maintenance.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 1 year of mechanical experience, and the ability to assemble from blueprints and sketches.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a basic math skills assessment.
• Ability to read a ruler, calipers, read blue prints and micrometer.
• 1 year of mechanical experience.
• Ability to assemble from blue prints, sketches, and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Produce product as described in the shop order.
• Set proper die clearance; select proper punch grade; apply lubrication.
• Detect when a tool needs servicing and perform maintenance.
• Read shop order and set up a tool accordingly.
• Select and set feed roll pressure (MP); determine and set slide and stripper settings.
• Perform routine maintenance on machine and sharpen/service tooling as required.
• Pull inventory and record usage.
• Operate CNC machines and presses with minimal supervision.
