Job Description

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain press equipment.
• Perform make-ready tasks such as hanging plates, installing cylinders, examining plates/cylinders for imperfections, and checking image positioning, prepping blankets, and adjusting tension and register.
• Make color corrections and press adjustments to meet quality specifications prior to production.
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press; perform minor repairs and replace worn parts as needed.
• Conduct periodic maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials, equipment, safety requirements, and the skills to perform related tasks.
• Ability to read and understand job specifications and press capabilities to determine appropriate press usage, settings, and materials.
• Skill in making precise control settings and performing routine maintenance and minor repairs.
• Knowledge of packing pressure requirements for proper printing quality.
• Skill in using a micrometer for mounting and aligning printing plates.
• Availability to work a 2:2:3 12-hour night shift, with core hours from 6:45 pm to 7:00 am.

The pay range for this role is $27.00 to $36.00 per hour, depending on location, education, skills, experience, and performance. Compensation may include bonuses, commissions, or incentives.
