Job summary

Viant Medical Inc. is hiring a Production Operator to operate injection molding machinery and assemble, inspect, and pack parts according to work instructions. You will maintain GMP and ISO 13485 documentation and report hourly production numbers.

You should have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year in a fast-paced manufacturing environment; injection molding experience is a plus. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential as you work independently and with the team

Responsibilities

• Operate machines to meet productivity and quality standards.
• Perform visual inspection and testing to ensure product quality.
• Record production data and coordinate with maintenance for machine issues.
• Inspect and trim parts, removing excess plastic as needed.
• Use visual inspection and automated equipment to verify conformance.
• Move product flow from injection molding to other work areas.
• Document hourly and daily production numbers for the supervisor.
• Package parts for bags, totes or boxes as applicable.
• Provide breaks as required by lead or supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.

About the role:

As a Production Operator you will be responsible for ensuring that assigned machines/equipment produce product at or above department standards. Responsible to produce, assemble, inspect and pack all parts as per the work instructions for each assigned task or machine. Maintain all required paperwork and documentation to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and ISO 13485:2016 standards.

What you’ll do:

• Operate machines while maintaining productivity, efficiency and product quality.
• Perform visual inspection and testing to ensure all products meet quality standards.
• Reporting data collection and coordinating with mold techs or maintenance for machine errors.
• Separate parts from runners by visually examining for: flow lines, long gates, shorts, splaying, flash, etc. Trim and clip excess plastic from parts as needed.
• Uses visual inspection and automated equipment to check conformance to customer requirements.
• Drive the continuous flow of product from the injection molding machines to all other work areas.
• Document hourly and daily production numbers to supervisor using good documentation practices.
• Package parts in bags, totes or boxes as applicable.
• Provide breaks as required by lead or supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of one year experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Injection molding background is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well independently and with fellow team members.
• Attention to detail and quality procedures.
