Job summary

RRD is seeking an experienced Offset Press Operator for 1st shift in Indiana. You will set up, operate and maintain single or multiple color offset presses, ensuring plates, cylinders, blankets, and tension are correct for high-quality output.

Responsibilities include color corrections, routine maintenance, and adhering to safety and process standards. The position offers competitive hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package, with potential overtime depending on demand.

Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials, equipment and safety requirements.
  • Skill to read and understand job specifications to determine press set-up materials needed to run the job successfully.
  • Must have sufficient knowledge of press capabilities to determine the most appropriate use of the press and corrective adjustments required to run efficiently.
  • Knowledge of the appropriate amount of packing pressure needed to obtain the proper printing pressure for the type of job being run.
  • Skill in use of micrometer to mount and align the printing plate correctly.
  • Skill in routine operational maintenance and minor repairs to equipment.
  • Ability to make adjustments to feeder and feed board (e.g., ability to adjust suctions and blast, front and side guides and the timing of the head stops).

Therate of pay for this role at the noted location is $21.80 per hour. In addition to base pay, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential $2 more for 2nd shift, call-in, and stand-by pay.
