Job summary

TransForm Automotive, an Amsted Automotive company in Shelby Township, MI, is seeking motivated Press Operators to join our team. You will set up and operate stamping presses, transfer systems, and feeders while upholding safety, quality, and production goals.

We offer multiple shifts with a +15% premium for afternoon and overnight shifts, and the role requires 3 months of press experience, basic computer skills, and a commitment to lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• At least 3 months of experience with press and feeder operations.
• Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use machine control panels.
• Knowledge of quality and environmental standards (IATF 16949, ISO 14001, Q1).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Operating stamping presses, transfer systems, feeders, and related equipment
• Assisting with die setups and production changeovers
• Monitoring production and meeting daily output goals
• Inspecting parts to ensure they meet quality standards
• Performing quality checks using fixtures and measurement tools
• Identifying and reporting equipment or quality concerns
• Maintaining accurate production and labeling documentation
• Supporting Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
• Participating in waste-reduction and process improvement activities
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment using 5S principles
• Supporting company goals and helping drive operational excellence

About The Role

• Standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive movements throughout the shift
• Frequently lifting up to 50 pounds
• Working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
• Working overtime when needed
• Exposure to typical manufacturing noise levels
