Job summary

Senior Metal Bellows in Sharon, MA is seeking a production technician to work from blueprints, route sheets, and instructions, delivering high-quality components with meticulous attention to detail.

You will set up and operate hydraulic and mechanical presses (150–1,200 tons), perform rubber-to-metal stamping with training provided, work with Inconel, AM350 and titanium stock, and conduct in-process inspections to meet ES specs using SPC and precision measuring tools.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in manufacturing or quality preferred, but not necessary — training provided.
• Ability to read blueprints and written instructions with accuracy.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

1. Work from blueprints, route sheets, and written instructions to produce high-quality components, demonstrating strong attention to detail in every step of the process.

2. Set up and run hydraulic and mechanical presses ranging from 150 tons to 1,200 tons, ensuring safe and precise operation.

3. Perform rubber-to-metal stamping (experience preferred but not required; training provided) to the right candidate.

4. Work with various materials, including Inconel (Inco), AM350, and titanium strip stock with thicknesses ranging from .001" to .008", maintaining accuracy and consistency.

5. Perform set-ups (or request assistance for complex set-ups) and conduct in-process inspections per ES Specifications to ensure all parts meet dimensional and quality requirements. Maintain set-ups and make minor adjustments as needed, escalating unusual issues to the supervisor.

6. Verify product quality using quantitative charting methods such as Statistical Process Control (SPC) and a range of precision measuring tools, including contour readers and non-contact measuring systems, with meticulous attention to detail.

7. Use basic computer skills to perform labor transactions and other required system functions with accuracy and completeness

Hourly Rate Range: $ 22.00 - $24.00 per hour. Final rate will be determined by relevant experience, skills, and qualifications
