Job summary

Valley Staffing in Pulaski, VA is seeking a Press Operator to train on first shift and transition to second shift after 2–3 weeks. Pay is $17.00 per hour, with overtime when necessary. Shift: 2nd 3PM-11PM, Monday–Friday.

The candidate should review job orders, load aluminum, start presses, monitor ink coverage, and maintain production records to meet deadlines. A valid driver’s license and mechanical aptitude are required; previous machine operator experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review job orders and determine specifications such as quantities and materials
• Set up and calibrate presses, including installing ink rollers, plates, screens, or dies
• Load materials (Aluminum) into the press and adjust feed, tension, and alignment
• Start presses, pull proofs, and check ink coverage, density, and registration
• Monitor press operation, respond to error messages, and make real-time adjustments
• Inspect samples and finished products for defects or inconsistencies
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime
• Maintain production records and ensure deadlines are met

MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE
