Job summary

Quick Tie Products, Inc. in Jacksonville, Florida, is seeking an experienced Metal Stamping Press Operator to join our Manufacturing team.

You will set up and operate coil-fed stamping presses ranging from 70 to 300 tons and ensure tooling is installed and used safely. This role requires reading blueprints, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to document production and downtime while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• Five years related experience.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all safety and OSHA standards.

• Responsible for setting the tooling and operating the press safely.
• Responsible for documenting production and downtime.
• Ability to use tools including, but not limited to, calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
• Ability to problem solve and employ trouble-shooting efforts.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Must have mechanical aptitude.
• Communicate with supervisor on tooling problems and supply requirements.
• Perform routine housekeeping and improvements in work area as necessary.

Quick Tie Products, Inc. (QuickTie) is a growing building products manufacturing company located in Jacksonville, Florida, is seeking an experienced Metal Stamping Press Operator.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for setting the tooling and operating the press safely.

Education, Skills and Experience Required

• Five years related experience

Working Conditions

• Work overtime as required.
• Must be able to work in many awkward positions on tools in in the press.
• Work under pressures of meeting schedules.
• Occasionally lift, push and pull up to 60 pounds.
• Requires standing, walking and/or moving about for extended periods.
• Perform position requirements while wearing eye, ear, foot and/or other protective devices as required

Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday from 6:00am to 4:30pm with a 30-minute lunch and two (2) 15-minute breaks daily. Fridays designated for overtime, as needed.

Pay Rate: $20.00/hr.-$25.00/hr. commensurate with experience
