Job summary

Weiss-Aug is hiring a Press Set Up Operator in Elk Grove Village, IL. You will be responsible for safely operating presses to produce parts that meet specifications and for following control plans and data recording procedures.

The role requires reading blueprints, basic controls knowledge, and 2+ years of manufacturing experience. Overtime may be required; the position offers a full-time schedule and a collaborative team environment in a metal stamping and assembly-focused operation.

Qualifications

• Perform blanking, piercing, forming and drawing operations on a variety of parts.
• Change material on smaller machines.
• Inspect work pieces for conformance to specifications, using micrometer or other measuring instruments to verify workmanship standard.
• Perform in process inspection, follow control plan and record results.
• Communicates when there is an issue on the machine
• Document all required production data and prepare product for next step
• Other duties as assigned

Skills & Experience

• Mechanical aptitude; must be responsible in the proper use of equipment in a safe manner
• Must be dependable, reliable and able to work well on a team
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours/day

Pay Rate

$18.00 - $25.00
