Aerotek in Columbus, OH is seeking a Press Operator to operate a metal stamping press and produce structural components. You will read work orders and blueprints, set up tooling, and load/pack finished parts under supervision.

The role requires reading blueprints, measuring with tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and height gauges, and maintaining quality and safety in a high-volume facility.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in machine operation.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately and perform basic math calculations.
• Experience with punch press operations.
• Experience working with sheet metal and fabrication processes.

Job Title: Press Operator

Job Description

This role involves operating a metal stamping press to manufacture structural components used in wood, steel, masonry, concrete, and composite wood construction. You interpret work orders and blueprints to produce high-quality parts, set up the press for each job, and handle loading and packing of finished products under the guidance of a supervisor.

Shift

1st shift: 6am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday

Responsibilities

• Operate a metal stamping press to produce parts according to work orders and blueprints.

• Interpret and follow work orders and blueprints to ensure parts meet dimensional and quality requirements.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
