Role Description

The Press Operator is a full-time, on-site role located in Cincinnati, OH. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring printing presses to produce high-quality labels and related products according to job specifications and production schedules. Day-to-day tasks include preparing materials, performing basic pre-press setup, adjusting press settings, inspecting output for quality and consistency, and completing required production documentation. The Press Operator will perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment, troubleshoot minor mechanical or process issues, and collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to meet safety, quality, and efficiency standards. This position also requires following established safety procedures, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong Machine Operation and Printing skills for safe and efficient press setup and production.
  • Candidates should possess Quality Control skills to inspect printed materials, identify defects, and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Candidates should possess Troubleshooting skills to resolve press, material, and process issues with minimal downtime.
  • Candidates should possess basic Pre-press skills to prepare plates, inks, and materials and verify job requirements before production.
  • Relevant qualifications include prior experience operating printing or manufacturing equipment in a production environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, technical instructions, and measurement tools; strong attention to detail and reliability.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift materials as required, and follow all safety and quality procedures.
