Job Summary:
The Press Material Handler 2 supports pressroom operations by handling, inspecting, and transporting printed materials and production supplies. Responsibilities include removing, stacking, and bundling printed sheets, inspecting for quality defects, and ensuring proper labeling and movement of materials. The role may also involve operating material handling equipment and assisting with equipment setup. Attention to detail, safety adherence, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment are essential. This is a 3rd shift position.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Remove, flex, jog, and stack printed sheets and signatures from press equipment.
• Inspect signatures for defects and notify the Pressroom if needed.
• Transfer signatures for transport to storage or binding areas.
• Adjust stacking mechanisms based on paper size.
• Load, unload, and transport materials using appropriate equipment.
• Record quantities and label containers for tracking.
• Stack and bundle materials securely.
• Operate industrial trucks and assist with press equipment setup.
• Perform quality checks for print defects.

Basic Qualifications:

• Education equivalent to 8th grade plus training.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and perform basic math.
• Reading and communication skills sufficient for job tasks.
• Familiarity with warehouse procedures and material handling tools.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift/carry up to 100 pounds occasionally, and perform physical tasks regularly.
• Constant standing, walking, reaching, and handling materials.
• Visual acuity and awareness of environmental conditions are required.
