Job summary

RRD Company is seeking a dedicated Material Handler 2 for the 12-hour day shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) to support the press room and distribution operations. The role involves handling printed signatures, assisting with make-readies, and ensuring accurate stock records while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in material handling in a press or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials safely.
• Attention to quality and detail in production.
• Willingness to work 12-hour rotating day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Remove, flex, jog, and stack printed sheets, folded signatures, labels or other in-process product from discharge unit of printing press or adhesive coating equipment.
• Review signatures for smearing, register issues, and notify the Pressroom.
• Remove folded signatures from web press and place on pallet for removal to warehouse or binding areas.
• Load/unload materials onto/from pallets, carts and trays.
• Convey materials to designated areas using hand truck or dolly.
• Count, weigh, and record units moved on production sheet.
• Attach labels and manage stock description forms.
• Assist press crew with make-readies and quality checks of materials.
